The Red Lion, near the river in Water End, is our modern interpretation of an original public house. It is a warm and friendly meeting place, serving great food and drink all day.

The Red Lion combines comfort and style with a relaxed atmosphere in a building that dates back to the early 1700s. The original building has been renovated sympathetically to create a warm and cosy bar with open fires, while the modern part of the building houses Oakman Inns & Restaurants' signature open kitchen and contemporary restaurant. For the warmer months, there is a smart paved garden for alfresco dining.

Join us for breakfast, morning coffee or tea, and a selection of fresh cakes and pastries. Enjoy our Mediterranean-inspired lunches and dinners, including dishes grilled in our charcoal-fuelled Josper oven and genuine handmade pizzas cooked in our Italian wood-fired pizza oven.

Our bar is open all day and offers an extensive list of wines, lagers, real ales and cocktails.
