Chief Constable Frank Whiteley says:

"Over four thousand Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers, Police Staff and Volunteer Special Constables work round the clock for the safety, justice and reassurance of everyone in Hertfordshire.
 
 “Our Policing Pledge to you outlines what you can expect from us and what we are doing to keep your local neighbourhoods safe from harm. Hertfordshire is a safe county and in recent years, working with our partners, we have been able to drive down crime and disorder and bring to justice more and more offenders.

"We aim to build on this success and improve the quality of the service we provide for the people of Hertfordshire and those who travel through or work in our county.

"In particular, we need to make sure victims and witnesses are kept up to date and also build on our Safer Neighbourhoods initiative to not only make the county safer but to reassure people and make them feel safer as well."
