Follys Farm Donkey Sanctuary
Folly's Farm Sanctuary is one of the few which are run on alternative veterinary medicine (except in emergency situations when a conventional vet would be used) all the donkeys are fed on organic food. No chemicals or sprays are used and all of the donkeys are treated in a homeopathic way.
We provide a safe sanctuary for rescued donkeys for the rest of their lives, giving them lots of love and attention that they so rightly deserve - No donkey is ever sold on or re-homed. The Sanctuary is run entirely on voluntary contributions, through adoptions, donations and helpers.
The Sanctuary is open to the public on Sundays between 2.00pm and 4.30pm from May to September.
It should be noted that the sanctuary is not a registered charity.

Chiltern Open Air Museum
Chiltern Open Air Museum is a wonderful place for kids.
The large open site is a great place to picnic and relax and most parts of the site are accessible to pushchairs or wheelchairs.
Our buildings are truly fascinating and there are farm animals, wildlife and an adventure playground.
Our wildlife pond is a popular attraction for children of all ages. Birds bathe in the shallows and there is a wide range of water plants, amphibians and insects, including colourful dragonflies. The planting of the pond consists of current and historical flora of the region covered by the Museum's buildings.

Redbourn Village Museum
The Silk Mill House is now Redbourn Museum. It is all that remains of a steam driven silk mill, Woolhams Mill, which occupied this site from 1857 to 1938. Here raw silk from cocoons was washed and “thrown” into a yarn suitable for weaving. The mill was demolished to make way for The Brooke Bond Tea Company. A new factory was built on an extended site in 1960 but this has also closed, the site now covered by housing. Brooke Bond generously passed Silk Mill House on to Redbourn Parish Council for use as a museum. The museum opened in May 2000 and is managed by the Trustees of Redbourn Village Historical and Museum Group Ltd and is staffed entirely by volunteers.

We operate what is probably the only substantial survivor of the large number of 2 foot (610mm) gauge light railways built in Britain for industrial use.
Opened in 1919 to transport sand, the line has carried a steam-hauled passenger train service since 1968, and now houses one of the largest and most important collections of narrow-gauge stock in the country. Both the collection and the railway itself are covered by our Accredited Museum designation.

A great kids day out. We offer the ultimate in play experiences at our impressive indoor adventure playground based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. We were established 15 years ago and are now serving the needs of a second generation of Kidzone visitors which is testimony of our success.
Our purpose built facilities includes a massive multi-level play-frame with high level rope bridges and a drop slide for the more energetic and adventurous child. A giant dinosaur inflatable is an extremely popular feature and our toddler soft-play area offers safe and interesting play for our younger visitors.
We are open everyday from 9.30am to 7.00pm during which time our visitors can enjoy at least two hours of safe and stimulating play.
