I was living rough as a stray. I moved into the home of a nice lady who loved me very much, but she had to go into sheltered accommodation and couldn’t take me with her.

I’m a very friendly, big boy and I’m about 8 years old – please don’t overlook me because I’m older, as I’ve got so much love to give.

Can you help us?

You can help provide homeless cats and kittens with real and practical support. We have several pens available for fostering cats.

We'd love to hear from you if you have room in your garden and some spare time to feed and chat to the cats. Please email Vanessa who will clarify everything.

Our pens are used to temporarily home cats that come to us through no fault of their own - strays looking for foster homes, long term cats or ferals as well as cats that people hand in to us because they can't keep them any more e.g. have become allergic to them; had to move to different accommodation where they can't have pets; divorce; made homeless; the cat being bullied by another one in the household etc. etc

It's not like a real home with their own person/dedicated slave, but a temporary refuge until the right person comes along to offer them a new home.

Perhaps you are able to give a cat a new home? We have several at the moment - have a look and see who is available for re-homing. Please contact us if you would like a cat or kitten and bear in mind that we carry out home visits prior to rehoming.

Are you looking for a cat or a kitten? Some very lucky cats we have already homed this year are now enjoying freedom and comfort in their new homes. However there are still many cats in need - please someone make our day and give these loving souls a chance!! Make this a Happy New Year for them too

Yes? Then we would love to hear from you! What could be better than to GIVE a loving home to a cat!! The only thing I can think would be better is to give a home to TWO cats. It is a well known fact that stroking a cat is therapeutic - so calming and comforting in this uncertain age. Nice to be welcomed home by the cat!! DO look through the list and see those who so desperately want a loving home.

So, how does it works........

First, just call Vanessa on 01442 234288 - leave a message with your details, where you live, and what you're looking for, and she will get back to you as soon as possible! (Please be patient when waiting for your call back - most of our volunteers work full time too, so phones can't be manned at all times) - or just email Vanessa. New cats come in all the time, so please call or email even if you can't see what you're looking for on these pages!

Then we will arrange for a home visit.

On a successful outcome from this visit you can come and choose from the cats available.

We rely solely on donations, and ask you to consider the following when choosing your cat.

All Cats from the Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted Branch have been:

Vet Checked on Admission

Blood tested

Flea treated and Wormed

Neutered (if old enough)

Microchipped

Vaccinated

As we have to pay for all of the above we would like to suggest a minimum donation of £80 for each cat.

If you are unable to have a cat for any reason then why not sponsor a cat pen.
